First e-library launched in Magas

In the capital of Ingushetia, in Alania Square, the first electronic library has been installed, where residents can freely download to their mobile phones any of the 300 books – works of foreign and domestic classics, including Ingush authors. In the near future the authorities plan to open nine more e-libraries.

The project was carried out by the organizational division of the Mayoralty for about three months. Magas has only a scientific library; and now, with the opening of the e-library, the interest of townspeople in reading will increase, the Mayoralty believes.

Of January 1, the appearance of the first e-library aroused interest among residents of Magas, said the Mayor of Beslan Tsechoev.

The selection of book was undertaken by the Mayoralty with account of townspeople's wishes.

"We've included into the list the books, which promote patriotic education, on the history of Ingushetia and the Ingush people. The library has books in the Ingush languages – by Idris Bazorkin, Said Chakhkiev and Akhmed Bokov," added Tsechoev.

Addition of the "Caucasian Knot" of January 2, 2016: Magas has one public library – the Scientific Library of the Ingush State University. The master plan of the city envisages the construction of a new city library, but the construction terms have not been fixed yet.
