In Volgograd, ten people injured in explosion in multi-storey building

Today, at about 12:00 a.m. Moscow time, in Volgograd, an explosion occurred in a residential house. According to the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), the explosion in an apartment of a multi-storey building caused a collapse of blocks. As a result of the explosion in the residential building in Volgograd, a block of the building from the second to the ninth floors has collapsed.

According to an official from the regional MfE, the incident was caused by an explosion of household gas.

As a result, 10 people, including three children, suffered in the incident. According to the Russian Ministry of Health, doctors estimated the state of all the victims as a moderate severe, but stable.

No version of a terror act is considered among the possible causes of the explosion in the residential building in Volgograd. The number of versions includes a gas leakage and violation of safety regulations during construction works, including improperly stored cylinders with liquefied gas, the "Russian News Service" reports.
