The book has been published by the "Chechen Publishing House", and it is dated to the anniversary of the events of December 11, 1994, when Boris Yeltsin, then Russian President, signed a decree on the introduction of troops into Chechnya.

The publication of the book was promoted by the Ministry for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information of Chechnya, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the author of the book.

"The book 'Deshan b1akhoy' contains essays, which tell readers about those people who performed their professional duties when the city was subjected to massive bombardments," Aza Gazieva said.

In particular, the book contains essays about Ramzan Khadjiev, an "ORT" reporter in Chechnya, who died at a checkpoint of the federal forces in Grozny on August 11, 1996; about Nina Efimova, a reporter of the newspaper "Vozrozhdenie" (Revival), who was kidnapped together with her 70-year-old mother in May 1996 and who was later found killed; and about Shamkhan Kagirov, a reporter of the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", who was shot dead on his way to work on December 12, 1995.
