In Armenia, front "No!" claims falsification of constitutional referendum results

In the course of the referendum, ballot stuffing took place, election commission suspended their work, and cases of re-voting also occurred. This was reported by Levon Zurabyan, the leader of the parliamentary faction of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), the head of the headquarters of the front "No!".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 6, Armenia held voting at the referendum on the constitutional reform project. During the day, observers noted a low turnout, as well as violations committed at precincts. As at the time of the closure of the precincts, the voter turnout reached 50.51%.

At the press conference held at the office of the headquarters of the front "No!" after the referendum, Levon Zurabyan has noted that cases of ballot stuffing, violence, pressure, suspension of work of the commissions, and re-voting took place at the referendum. According to Levon Zurabyan, all the above are "the methods of falsifications exercised by the authorities over the years."

Levon Zurabyan has added that the opposition will file an appeal against all the violations committed during the referendum.

Meanwhile, the ruling Republican Party has stated that the referendum "met the standards of democracy."
