Dagestan hosts large-scale exercises of motorized rifle and air forces
In Dagestan, the military training ground "Dalny" (Far) hosts the military live-fire exercises involving more than 2000 military men and about 300 units of weapons and military vehicles. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, the military exercises will last till the end of the week.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported about the exercises ongoing in southern Russia. So, on September 7, the final stage of the exercises of air defence forces "Combat Commonwealth-2015", held at the training ground "Ashuluk" in the Astrakhan Region, involved more than 1000 military men from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. On September 8, marine forces and units of naval infantry deployed in Astrakhan and Makhachkala were given in full combat readiness as a part of a sudden inspection of forces of the Central Military District.
