In their final speeches, defendants in Said Amirov's case call on court to be fair in sentencing

On August 20, the North-Caucasian District Military Court completed the pleadings in court, during which advocates asked to acquit their clients. In their final speeches, the defendants themselves have appealed to the court with an appeal to be objective when sentencing.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the prosecutors' version is based on the testimony of key witness Abdulgalimov, who had been already sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment. Investigators believe that Abdulgalimov used to receive orders from Amirov to commit crimes and that Murad Aliev, Akhmedov brothers, Magomed Kadiev, and Zubair Mutaev were members of the criminal groping led by Abdulgalimov himself.

On August 19, during the pleadings in court, Drozdova, an advocate of Magomed Kadiev, stated that her client had incriminated himself. According to the advocate, during the preliminary investigation, Magomed Kadiev gave the different testimony. Besides, during court hearings, he also gave contradictory testimony.

The Djaparov's advocate has noted that the defendants went on hunger strike while complaining about pressure.

Amirov has stressed that he was not involved in the murder of investigator Gadjibekov and shelling of the shopping centre "Moscow". He has also noted that when public prosecutor demanded to sentence him to life imprisonment, he failed to provide any analysis of the evidence of crime.

The judge has scheduled sentencing for August 27.
