Natives of Ingushetia state inaction of policemen, when they were beaten up in Beslan Airport
Bashir and Magomed Izmailov, natives of Ingushetia, received severe injuries in a brawl that broke out at Beslan Airport. According to their version, law enforcers were idling during the incident; in its turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of North Ossetia denied this information, stating that policemen had prevented the conflict.
On July 22, cousins Bashir and Magomed Izmailov arrived at the Beslan Airport from Moscow, Magomed Izmailov, Bashir's father, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to his story, he was in the area near the terminal. Seeing the bleeding young men, he rushed to the policemen, who were nearby.
"They told me: 'There was nothing of the sort here; we didn't see anything. You'd better leave the place as soon as possible," said the father.
The cousins were hospitalized on July 22, Tamara Kasieva, the Chief Physician of the Ingush Republic's Hospital, has confirmed. According to her story, one has broken jaw and brain concussion; the other has broken nose and an arm.
As reported by Bashir Izmailov, a victim, at the airport, the cousins received luggage and headed for the exit, when at the barrier four guys accosted them. He noted that law enforcers "were standing and watched the incident in silence."
