Karabakh soldier who went over to Azerbaijan sends letter to his family members through ICRC
On March 30, members of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited Karabakh soldier Andranik Grigoryan in Azerbaijan and handed his letter over to his family members. In this letter, the soldier has declared his intention to return to his homeland.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 22, Andranik Grigoryan, a contract soldier of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh, went over to the Azerbaijani side. On March 23, the Azerbaijani side posted on YouTube two video records, in that Andranik Grigoryan explained his act by beatings in his military unit. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh has called the video records a performance.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Andranik Grigoryan for his passage to Azerbaijan. According to Seiran Oganyan, the Armenian Minister of Defence, the causes for the soldier's act will be revealed after officials have the opportunity to speak to him, the "Armenia Today" reports with reference to the "A1+" TV Channel.
