Magomed Aushev, hospitalized after his arrest in Ingushetia, lost his memory

Magomed Aushev, who is undergoing medical treatment in a special ward of the Ingush Republican Clinical Hospital, lost his memory. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Murad Aushev, a brother of Magomed Aushev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 20, in Ingushetia, law enforcers detained Magomed Aushev, a resident of the village of Ekazhevo, suspected of opening fire from a car of a wedding motorcade. According to his brother, after the detention, the man was tortured and beaten. On December 26, the council of elders of the Aushev teip demanded from the Ingush authorities to restore order in the law enforcement bodies and to stop beating detainees.

On December 30, advocates were allowed to visit the detainee. According to Tamara Kotieva, one of the advocates, Magomed Aushev barely speaks and looks very weak. The advocate has attended the forensic examination, and its results are to be announced in several days.

On December 30, advocates of Magomed Aushev challenged the pre-trial restriction measure against the detainee at the Supreme Court (SC) of the Republic of Ingushetia. However, the SC has announced the extension of the arrest.
