Baku police release detained anti-Israel protesters
By the evening on July 25, all the 44 detained believers, who protested outside the Israeli Embassy in Baku, were back at large. Four of them were fined administratively, others were warned, said the Islamic Party of Azerbaijan (IPA).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on July 25 a group of believers held a protest action in front of the Israeli Embassy in Baku against the military actions of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip. The action organized by the IPA was dispersed by the police; many protesters were detained.
According to latest data, in total, 44 people were detained, including eight women, as Akif Geidarli, the Deputy Chairman of the IPA, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his story, all of them were taken to the 26th and 27th stations of the Yasamal District Police Department of Baku.
He added that by the evening on July 25 all the detainees were released; four of them were fined administratively for breaking the rules for organizing actions.
