In Grozny, 60 families receive keys to their new flats
A source from the administration of Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the city authorities had resettled 60 families from an emergency multi-story building into new flats.
On May 10, keys to new flats were given to the residents of the emergency house, located in Akhmat Kadyrov Street, by the Mayor of Grozny Islam Kadyrov.
Over the next three years, according to a source from the Chechen Ministry of Housing and Utilities, the Chechen authorities plan to provide new flats to residents of 140 dilapidated houses.
At the same time, some local residents complain of slow resettlement and dangerous living conditions.
A Grozny resident named Alkhazur told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that last year officials from the City Mayoralty several times promised to resettle residents from emergency houses; however, this problem remains unresolved.
