Professional activities may have caused churchman's murder in Dagestan

Last night, a madrassa teacher, who was also the Imam of the mosque, was killed in the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, a source from the local MIA has reported. According to investigators, two masked attackers committed the murder. Law enforcers do not exclude that the Imam's professional activities could cause the murder.

Let us remind you that the incident occurred on April 10 in the village of Nechaevka. It was reported that the casualty was identified as Magomed Zakaryaev.

The Dagestani MIA reports that the 32-year-old madrassa teacher was shelled in the yard of his house.

As stated by the spokesman of the ID for Dagestan of the ICRF, two unidentified masked men entered Magomed Zakaryayev's house, shot him dead from a pistol and fled.

"The Imam was against Wahhabism; and it could cause the murder," the "Interfax" quotes its law enforcement source.
