Solo pickets in support of Porfiriev family held in Astrakhan

On December 18, the city of Astrakhan hosted solo pickets in support of the Porfiriev family, evicted from their house without providing any other housing. Activists Mikhail Anisenko and Andrei Egorov came to the city administration and stood there, in turn, with a poster reading: "Constitution of the Russian Federation; Bosses of Housing Department, Resign!"

Let us remind you that the Porfiriev family is evicted from their house at No. 14 Amurskaya Street under decision of the court, but the people refused to leave the building, stating that they had nowhere to go. The lawsuit around the building has been going on for five years. At the moment, the developer – the "Invest-Stroy" Limited Liability Building Company – is building luxury housing around the house of the Porfiriev family.

Regina Porfirieva argues that the message that she has been no longer registered in the house "was a complete surprise." According to her story, the police failed to respond to the fact that she possesses a document that confirms the legality of the family's residence and stay at No. 14 Amurskaya Street.

Now, residents of the demolished house have placed part of their belongings at the warehouse and moved themselves to rented apartments and homes of their friends.

Mikhail Anisenko told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that in June and July this year, along with other activists, he helped to defend the house "from attacks of the developer and arsonists."
