Rostik Khugaev: families occupying new building in Tskhinvali to be evicted

In Tskhinvali, the ten-apartment building, occupied in this March by people in need of improvement of their living conditions, is the object under construction, and tenants have unlawfully occupied the apartments and will be evicted. This was announced at a meeting by Rostik Khugaev, Prime Minister of South Ossetia.

Officials from the Tskhinvali City Mayoralty emphasize that the object is not recorded on the balance of the administration of Tskhinvali, since it was not officially put into operation and was not transferred to the balance of the City Mayoralty.

In his turn, Eduard Dzagoev, Minister of Construction of South Ossetia, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the building located in Thalmann Street was not transferred to the balance of the Ministry of Construction from the State Committee for the implementation of reconstruction projects, which was involved in the construction of the object. Such organization as the State Committee for the implementation of reconstruction projects seized to exist in the republic two years ago.

According to the report of the Minister of construction, he will not take any action for eviction till he thoroughly examines the issue. The Minister has added that the Ministry of Construction will be ready to finish the construction of the object upon receipt of funding.

The tenants themselves recognize that they expect their problem will be already solved in early August 2013.
