Belaya Rechka residents announce unresolved problems of their village
Local residents gathered in the village of Belaya Rechka in Kabardino-Balkaria and stated that the authorities Nalchik fail to address their problems.
According to the Republic's Law "On Status and Boundaries of Municipal Formations " of February 27, 2005, the townships of Belaya Rechka, Khasanya, Adiyukh and Kenzhe were attached to the city of Nalchik. Residents of Belaya Rechka demand to return the status of municipal formation to their township.
The rally on April 3 brought together about 100 people; it was expected that officials from the administration of Nalchik and republic's authorities would come to meet them. However, the authorities reappointed the meeting for Saturday, April 6.
According to Shamkyz Sozaeva, 73, her house is located on a steep slope at the edge of Belaya Rechka. "My son has a sick child that needs constant care. Often at night we have to call an ambulance. However in winter, when there's snow, or in spring and summer, when we have heavy rains, no ambulance can drive up to the house," Ms Sozaeva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to the locals, the attachment to the city failed to solve any of their problems. They stressed that they have no club and no gym in the township. "They build them everywhere, but not here. Our ambulance unit was built in 1932 construction," said one of the residents.
After standing for about an hour in front of the village administration, the people dispersed without taking any decision.
