Advocate: Tolmachov's case to come to court within a month

In the Rostov Region, Alexander Tolmachov, a journalist, editor and publisher, accused of extortion, has signed documents about the of his familiarization with the materials of the criminal case against him. The case should arrive in the court within a month, said Sergey Karpov, Tolmachov's advocate.

His client was put in custody in December 2011 on charges of extorting one million roubles from an entrepreneur.

As reported by Sergey Karpov, after the defendant and his advocate have signed the documents on the end of their studying the case file, the investigator should deliver the file to the prosecutor's office for approving the indictment. "By the law, the term for approval is one month, after which the case file should be sent to the court," said the lawyer and added that Tolmachov's case would be considered in one of the courts of the Rostov Region; in is not known yet where.
