"Dagestani Airlines" owes 30 million roubles to its employees
The salary debt of the "Dagestani Airlines" to its employees is 30 million, said Abdula Angutaev, the acting director general of the company.
On December 19, 2011, the "Rosaviatsia" (Russian Federal Agency for Air Transport) revoked the Operator's Certificate of the "Dagestani Airlines" because of violations in running flight operations, aircraft maintenance, pilot training and problems with work and rest hours of crews. Currently, the Makhachkala Airport is owned by the Republic of Dagestan.
"12 million roubles is the money to be paid as severance allowance to 400 laid-off employees. This week will start paying salaries to current employees for September," Mr Angutaev said on November 13 at his meeting with the head of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov.
In his turn, Mr Magomedov has stressed said that at the time of transfer of the "Dagestani Airlines" into the republic's ownership, the company was "in an ugly state."
One of the laid-off workers of the "Dagestani Airlines" named Ruslan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that today the company has almost no skilled workers remaining.
"Many were dismissed; some workers left the company by themselves. I haven't yet received my severance pay and salary debts. I don't know who will be working in the new airline – real specialists, pilots and technicians, were fired; many have left the republic," said the former employee of the airline.
