Refugees are ready to go back to Chechnya if they are given security guarantees

A delegation from Chechnya, headed by acting chairman of the Chechen Government Eli Isayev, visited the tent camps of Chechen refugees "Satsita" and "Sputnik" on January 17.

The officials called upon the refugees to return to their home land. As it has become the custom recently, the guests promised to settle all problems of the returning people, even to pay rent for quarters in the private sector and compensations for lost housing and property.

Displaced persons expressed, as before, their readiness to return to Chechnya provided that they were given security guaranties, humanitarian aid debts were paid off, people illegally removed from list of the Ingush Migration Service were reinstated, and other urgent problems were settled.
