Kirov District Court of Astrakhan dismisses Oleg Shein's lawsuit to cancel election outcomes

Today, the Kirov District Court of Astrakhan dismissed the lawsuit, filed by Oleg Shein to cancel the outcomes of the voting in the Kirov District at the election of Mayor, held on March 4, 2012.

On June 15, the Kirov District Court of Astrakhan dismissed Oleg Shein's lawsuit to cancel the outcomes of the election and suggested the plaintiff to challenge the violations at four district courts of the regional centre. On June 27, Oleg Shein filed news lawsuits to the Courts of the Lenin, Kirov, Soviet and Trusovo Districts.

"We anticipated dismissal of our claims. At present, the Kirov District Court (Judge Shamshutdinova) fully dismissed our claim for cancellation of the outcomes of the election in the precinct election commission (PEC) of the Kirov District. Including, for example, in the PEC-416, where the surname of Shein was voiced 734 times, and the video record confirms that. However, the State Automated System have indicated a number of 'twenty'," the politician has stated in his Live Journal.

According to Oleg Shein, in the nearest future, the Astrakhan members of the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party anticipate similar decisions on all other lawsuits. At the same time, he has emphasized that he was initially prepared for such decision of the local courts and that at present, he has an opportunity to "address the plan B" to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), the RIA "Novosti" reports.
