41 persons suffered from the armed conflict in Kabardino-Balkaria

In April, May and June 2012, in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), at least 41 persons fell victim to the armed conflict: 25 persons were killed and 16 more wounded. These are the results of calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", based on its own materials and information from open sources.

The death toll includes six law enforcers, 18 persons involved, according to law enforcement bodies, in the armed underground, and Jamal Gemuev, the head of the administration of the city of Tyrnyauz.

The list of those wounded includes 10 power agents and six civilians.

In June, the KBR had 23 victims of the armed conflict: 12 persons were killed and 11 wounded. In May, five persons suffered - two men were killed and three wounded. In April, at least 13 persons suffered: 11 were killed and two wounded.

One should understand that the above statistics cannot reflect with absolute accuracy the number of victims in each of the identified categories of the survey. Not all the data gets into news reports. It is not always possible to verify the reliability of statements made by law enforcement bodies.

During the first quarter of 2012, according to calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", at least 43 persons suffered in the KBR: 32 persons were killed and at least 11 more wounded.

Let us note here that in 2011 at least 173 persons fell victim to the armed conflict in the KBR: at least 129 persons were killed and 44 wounded.
