A kidnapped official of Prosecutor General's found killed in South Ossetia
Dead body of Roland Chitaev, Chief of Investigative Department of Prosecutor General's kidnapped in the evening of July, 9, was found in Tskhinvali, South Ossetia, Merab Chigoev, Prosecutor General of South Ossetia, reported.
It should be reminded that Roland Chitaev was kidnapped from his house in Tskhinvali at about 22:00. On the same day two persons suspected of this kidnapping were detained and stains of blood were found in Chitaev's car, a representative of the Ministry of Interior Affairs informed.
According to Merab Chigoev, Chitaev's body was found in the settlement of Vanat, Tskhinvali district. Upon preliminary data, he was killed by firing point-blank, "Interfax" reports.
The personnel of standby unit of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of South Ossetia reported that Chitaev's body was found at 7 o'clock in the morning. Chitaev supposedly died from a gunshot wound in his temple, RIA "Novosti" reports.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that in the evening of July, 3, unidentified persons fired upon the car of Irbeg Beteev, ex-official of State security guard of South Ossetia. Beteev with his son and a thirty-five-years-old Robert Pliev were in the cabin. All the three of them got wounded.
