9 persons, injured in road traffic accident in Chechnya, remain in grave condition
9 persons, injured in a road traffic accident in the Schelkovskaya District of the Chechen Republic, are in serious condition. All of them were hospitalized in the Republic's Clinical Hospital of the city of Grozny. This was reported by the Republic's Ministry of Health.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the road traffic accident occurred at 5:35 p.m. between the dwelling settlements of Chervlyonnaya and Novo-Schedrinskaya of the Schelkovskaya District. 6 persons, including 3 children, were killed in the collision of a Gazel minivan and a Lada Priora car. 17 persons were hospitalized.
"As a result of a major road traffic accident, which took place on the highway Kizlyar-Mozdok in the Schelkovskaya District of the republic, 20 persons, including 3 children, suffered. The injured persons were brought to the nearest hospital. And 9 persons, whose condition is assessed as serious, were transferred to the City Clinical Hospital of the city of Grozny. Their condition remains serious, but stable. As far as other 11 injured persons are concerned, they got bruises and injuries, not dangerous to their health state," said a representative of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to the law enforcement officer, 6 casualties of the road traffic accident the driver and 5 passengers, including 3 minor children and a 16-year-old teenager, were in the Lada Priora car.
"The driver and the passengers of the Gazel route taxi suffered. The degree of guilt of the participants of the road traffic accident is to be revealed. Most likely, a criminal case will be instituted on the fact of the accident," the Chechen police officer said.
According to the Chechen MIA, the road traffic accident was caused by "poor visibility on the highway and violation of speed regime, committed by drivers."
