In Finland, court convicts Mikael Storsjo to conditional sentence for organizing transportation of illegal migrants from Chechnya

On June 13, in Helsinki, court sentenced Mikael Storsjo, the editor-in-chief of the website "Kavkaz-Centre", prohibited in Russian, who was found guilty of organizing illegal transportation of Chechen migrants to Finland, to four months of conditional sentence.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in mid-September 2011, in Russia, the Nikulino Court of Moscow recognized the website "Kavkaz-Centre" and their "mirrors" as extremist.

It is proved that Mikael Storsjo organized entry to Finland of three groups of illegal migrants with total number of 25 persons (initially, the number of about 100 illegal migrants was mentioned). They entered the country via Turkey. "Among those Chechens, there were relatives of terrorists Shamil Basaev, Dokku Umarov, and others. Besides, with the help of Mikael Storsjo, a man named Matziev entered Finland, who is treated to be the former radio operator of the Beslan terrorists (in September 2004, a group of terrorists seized 1128 hostages in a school of the North-Ossetian city of Beslan. The terror act killed 186 children and 145 adults, 728 Beslan residents and 55 power agents were wounded, note of the "Caucasian Knot")," stated Johan Beckman, the Finnish human rights defender.

According to him, at present, Matziev works as an administrator of the "Caucasus-Centre", the "Izvestia" reports.

Johan Beckman claims to have found in the investigation materials the indications that Mikael Storsjo travelled at the expense of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Finland and the US State Department. Besides, according to the human rights defender, Mikael Storsjo received assistance from Heidi Hautala, former member of the European Parliament and current Finnish Minister for International Development, the "Interfax" reports.
