Civilian wounded on Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijani border
On June 1, in Nagorno-Karabakh, Vachik Melkumyan, a villager of Nerkin, Tavush Region, who worked on his land plot, was wounded by fire from the Azerbaijani party, said the press service of the Armenian police.
According to the Armenian party, Vachik Melkumyan, born in 1960, was wounded in his leg. With a through gunshot wound of his right thigh he was taken to the hospital.
"The fire on the civilian population was opened in the morning; one shot was fired," the "Panorama.am" quotes Manvel Kamendatyan, the village warden.
A forensic examination was appointed; materials are prepared, the "Aysor.am" reports.
So far, the officials of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) have made no comments on the statement of the Armenian police.
