In Kabardino-Balkaria, resident of Lechinkai village reports on kidnapping of her husband
This morning, Aslan Afaunov, born in 1978, was kidnapped by unidentified men in masks from his house in the village of Lechinkai of the Chegem District of Kabardino-Balkaria. This was reported by his wife.
Relatives of the kidnapped man immediately appealed to the local branch of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" and reported on the incident.
Unidentified men in masks broke into the house early in the morning, when the family had no time to get out of bed. This was reported by Dinara Afaunova, the wife of the kidnapped man. According to her, the attackers turned firearms on her and her husband's mother and demanded that Aslan got dressed and went with them.
According to men in masks, they received information that Aslan Afaunov stored weapons at home, and then they drove Aslan away to some unknown destination. At 10:30 a.m., Aslan Afaunov called his wife and said that he had been at the police station, without specifying it.
