In Moscow, relatives of kidnapped Dagestani residents meet Vladimir Lukin
Today, at a meeting in Moscow, Vladimir Lukin, Russian Ombudsman, promised relatives of the kidnapped Dagestani residents to render assistance within his competence.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has reported that Oksana Danilina and Burliyat Danilina, the wife and the mother of Timur Danilin, the resident of Makhachkala, who was kidnapped on March 25, and Zhanna Ismailova, the mother of Rashid Ismailov, who was kidnapped on May 8, arrived in Moscow, where on May 25, they took part at the press conference "Who breaks up the peace process in Dagestan?", organized by the Human Rights Centre "Memorial". Today, they met the Ombudsman of the Russian Federation.
"Vladimir Lukin listened to each woman, who applied to him," Grigory Bondarev, the head of the Public Relations Service of the Ombudsman's Office, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to Grigory Bondarev, the proceedings have been initiated. "This means that, in accordance with the law on the Ombudsman in the Russian Federation, on the next one or two days, Vladimir Lukin will prepare appeals to the heads of law enforcement agencies," said Grigory Bondarev.
"I am satisfied with the results of the meeting," stated Burliyat Danilina in her interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The meeting was also attended by Zhanna Ismailova, who expressed her hope that "human rights defenders would help her find her son and bring the persons, who kidnapped him, to justice."
