ANC demands from Armenian Constitutional Court to nullify outcomes of parliamentary elections

On May 18, the Armenian National Congress (ANC) addressed the Constitutional Court asking to annul the official results of the parliamentary elections held in Armenia on May 6.

The Constitutional Court was also addressed by six single-mandate candidates – Samvel Arutyunyan, Manuel Gaparyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Levon Zurabyan, Gagik Nersisyan and David Matevosyan, who demanded the same.

The Chairman of the Constitutional Court has instructed the judges to study the submitted applications and report the outcomes, the "Aysor.am" reports.

According to preliminary data of the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has won 44.05% of all the votes, the "Prosperous Armenia" Party (PAP) – 30.20%, the Armenian National Congress (ANC) – 7.10%, the "Heritage" – 5.79%, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation "Dashnaktsyutun" (ARF) – 5.73%, and the "Country of Rule of Law" – 5.49%.
