Two men kidnapped in Dagestan, eyewitnesses assert
Today, in the city of Derbent, unidentified armed men in masks beat and kidnapped Tagir Gudjaev, born in 1984, and Rezvan Firzaliev, born in 1985, two Derbent residents. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Ali Gadjiev, a resident of Derbent, a friend of the disappeared men, with reference to eyewitnesses.
"Eyewitnesses reported that a VAZ-2109 car with Tagir and Rezvan was blocked in Buinaksk Street by several cars, from which fire from automatic firearms was opened. Then, unidentified armed men in camouflage and masks jumped out from the cars and forced Tagir and Rezvan out of their car in the street. They started to beat friends to blood, and then they forced them into one of the cars and driven away to some unknown destination," states Ali Gadjiev.
He also said that the place of the incident was cordoned off by armed men in camouflage and masks. According to Ali Gadjiev, they forbade doctors from ambulance, which arrived by call of witnesses, to render medical care to the beaten people.
Ali Gadjiev reported that the kidnapped men were strictly practicing Muslims and that they had not been registered at the police.
Officials from the duty unit of the Derbent OVD (Interior Division) stated that they knew nothing about the incident.
