Azerbaijan: soldier kills his comrade and commits suicide
Vyusal Nabiev, a soldier of the Azerbaijani National Army, shot dead his colleague Medjnun Garazade from service weapon and then committed suicide.
The incident was recorded in the military unit of the Shamkir Corps of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan, deployed in the Gazakh District.
Vyusal Nabiev was recruited to active military service by the Gadjigabul district military enlistment office, and Medjnun Garazade by the Imishli district military enlistment office, the "Novosti-Azerbaijan" reports.
At end of 2011, the Shamkir Corps of the Azerbaijani army was the worst one of the five corps of the Azerbaijani MoD by number of incidents and casualties. From the beginning of the year, Azerbaijani state agencies recognized deaths of 28 Azerbaijani soldiers, 5 of whom were killed by their colleagues, the IA "APA" reports.
