This evening, the city of Tuapse, Krasnodar Territory, was the venue of a series of pickets in support of Suren Gazaryan and Evgeniy Vitishko, the activists of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" and "Yabloko" Party, who are under a threat of five years of colony imprisonment.

The solo pickets in Tuapse were held by Kuban activists and members of the group "Kuban! Open Your Eyes!" set up in the social network "VKontakte", who came today for this purpose to Tuapse from Krasnodar.

Currently, Evgenia Chirikova, the leader of the "Movement in Defence of Khimki Forest"; Nikolai Lyaskin, an activist of the "Solidarity" Movement, along with activists who came today from Moscow, are also in Tuapse, as well as the Moscow lawyer Violetta Volkova, who represents the interests of Suren Gazaryan at the trial.

They all gathered with the aim to participate in the trial against Gazaryan and Vitishko; the preliminary hearing is scheduled for tomorrow, May 15, at the District Court of Tuapse.
