In Yerevan, 10 victims of balloon explosion remain under intensive care
At present, 10 persons injured in explosion of balloons at the meeting of the Republican Party of Armenia held on May 4 are still at resuscitation wards of Yerevan hospitals.
"At present, 75 persons injured in the explosion remain in the republic's hospitals; however, the numbers of injured persons at resuscitation wards decreased from 15 to 10, and today, 5 persons were transferred to regular wards," the "News-Armenia" quotes Shushan Unanyan, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Armenia, as saying.
Shushan Unanyan has emphasized that persons injured in the incident, their families and persons in need were provided with free psychological assistance, and this assistance is being provided till present.
"Namely on these days, the Ministry of Health of Armenia and the Armenian Psychiatric Association issued a joint statement and expressed their desire to provide psychological assistance. 124 persons received psychological assistance," she said.
The Press Secretary of the Ministry of Health has added that the professionals expressed their willingness, if necessary, to visit injured people at hospitals and at homes and to continue their work, the "Tert.am" reports.
