“Mtatsminda” park in Tbilisi returned to Patarkatsishvili’s family
The authorities of Georgia returned the park located on Mtatsminda mountain to the family of late businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili, his sister Mziya Patarkatsishili reported.
The Government of Georgia took away the right of managing the park from “Links” company founded by Badri Patarkatsishvili in November, 2007, after the businessman declared that he started political activities. The company allotted 25 million dollars on rehabilitation of the park. Later “Rakia” Arab company held the park on lease.
The conditions under which the park was returned to the family were not made public. However, a deputy of the Georgian Parliament who preferred to remain anonymous told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent that the park was returned in exchange for Patarkatsishili family’s ultimate waiver of right on ”Imedi” TV company.
Mziya Patarkatsishili emphasized that the park on Mtatsminda mountain wastransferred to the family’s management at the end of April.
There will be no serious changes in Mtatsminda park, it will be opened for the visitors on May, 15, Mziya Patarkatsishili informed. She said that that unfortunately the cable railway that had been Tbilisi’s visiting card was still unavailable.
