Over 1000 families resettled to tents after the earthquake in Azerbaijan
About 1050 families whose houses were destroyed as a result of the earthquake in Zagatal district of Azerbaijan were accommodated in tents. According to more precise data, over 2000 buildings are in an emergency state, Elman Ramazanov, First Deputy Head of the district, Chairman of regional Emergency Situations Committee, informed.
“As a result of the earthquake 274 buildings collapsed in the district, 2054 are in an emergency state, cracks appeared on 100 social objects”, Ramazanov said.
He added that calculation of the damage was still in process and did not rule out that this index would increase.
The Chairman of regional Emergency Situations Committee also said that the Ministry of Emergency Situations set over 400 tents in the villages by the moment where 1050 families injured by the earthquake would be placed. According to him, 1276 families are currently staying with their relatives, “APA” reports.
“New tents will be set for those whose houses were destroyed”, Ramazanov emphasized.
