Alleged perpetrators of terror act in Makhachkala are searched on suspicion of preparing explosions on May 9
Today, the head of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov has told reporters that the alleged executors of the double terror act on May 3 in Makhachkala were brother and sister Rizvan Aliev and Muslimat Alieva. On the eve of the terror act, a law enforcement source cited their names as searched suspects of preparing terror acts on May 9.
"The organizers of this crime are on a search list; information about them had been circulated in the media. The alleged performers of the terror act are the brother and sister Aliev. I ask all Dagestanis: if anyone has information about this crime, please notify the republic's power agencies," said Magomedsalam Magomedov.
Earlier, a source from power agencies of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) reported that the police of Dagestan had preliminarily identified one of the criminals as Rizvan Aliev. The operative headquarters was also searching for four members of the "Makhachkala" armed grouping for involvement in this terror act.
According to a source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from among law enforcers, Rizvan Aliev, 23, and Muslimat Alieva, 19, left home on April 24; and since then their whereabouts were unknown. According to the source, the brother and sister joined the members of the armed underground.
The source has added that DNA samples were taken from the Alievs' parents who live in Makhachkala for genetic examination. After the study, a final conclusion will be made about involvement of Rizvan and Muslimat in the terror act.
According to investigators, it was Aminat Kurbanova, 29, who involved the Alievs into illegal armed formations (IAFs). Kurbanova (nee Saprykina) – a Russian woman – took Islam and was Alievs' neighbour. Aminat Kurbanova disappeared in March and is now searched.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of the relatives of Rizvan Aliev and Muslimat Alieva, as well as of relatives of Aminat Kurbanova regarding this information of operative inspectors.
