In Dagestan, Rasul Magomedov's wife complains of harassment by power agents
Patimat Murshidova, a resident of the village of Balakhani, Untsukul District of Dagestan, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that she was persecuted by law enforcers.
"Only within the last month, the house, where I live with my daughter-in-law and three young children, was twice surrounded by armed policemen. Some of them arrived from other Russian areas, and some of them were Dagestanis. Some of them were in civilian clothes. The power agents broke down the door, rushed inside; they were rude and aggressive, asking all the time where my son Ilyas was," said Patimat Murshidova. According to her story, "they believed that he was a member of the armed underground."
"My answer that I knew nothing about Ilyas didn't please the policemen. In the course of a search, they turned everything upside down, took away Islamic literature, which can be bought in every store," said the woman.
She also said that she did not apply for help. "I'm afraid to go to Makhachkala; and grandchildren need permanent care. Even if I address somebody, I'm afraid that no one will help me," said Murshidova.
In its turn, the press service of the Dagestani MIA said that they knew nothing about the incidents at Murshidova's house.
