Working group finds violations of vote counting procedure in videos from Astrakhan polling stations

The violations detected in the videos from polling stations in Astrakhan have to do mainly with the procedure of vote tabulation, said a source from the working group, engaged in watching the videos.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 18 Vladimir Churov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia, said that when watching the videos from polling stations in Astrakhan he saw no falsifications, but found violations of procedural nature. The joint watching session of Vladimir Churov and Oleg Shein lasted for about 10 hours and ended on April 17 at 6 a.m. They reviewed video records from 42 polling stations. A working group was set up to cope with the rest of them.

The information of the CEC's Chair about the procedural nature of violations was confirmed by a member of the working group, who preferred to remain anonymous.

On April 17, according to the source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, they watched videos from 70 polling stations; on April 18 - from 40 stations more. "There are violations fixed on the videos: they have to do mainly with the procedure of vote tabulation. These are the cases where it is difficult to establish the voters' will," said the working group member.

According to his story, during the watching they cleared out that "at one of the stations Oleg Shein was the winner, although in the end the data about Stolyarov's victory were input into the system."

"The fact that Shein was ahead of Srolyarov at the polling station, the number of which I still cannot name, is clearly heard on the video; and his dominance was twofold. Since we revealed this episode, it was decided to double-check other polling stations on this subject," said the source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the source, the working group, which is watching the videos from the polling stations of Astrakhan, consists of six persons - representatives of the parties "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia), "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia), and from the CEC. Chairman Vladimir Churov watched videos only on the first night. It is supposed that the watching process will continue until April 20.

Let us note here that Sergey Chaplygin, a former observer at the election of the Mayor of Astrakhan, is representing Oleg Shein in the working group. "Our colleagues are now working in Moscow - Sergey Chaplygin, and lawyers from the 'Spravedlivaya Rossiya'; and this work will continue. In parallel, we post the videos on the Internet, to avoid speculations and lies that in Astrakhan during the election everything was according to the law," said Oleg Shein.
