Judge Omarov's wife, injured in explosion in Dagestan, in serious condition
Wife of Omar Omarov, Chairman of the Khasavyurt City Court, who was injured in the explosion, which occurred this morning near the house of the judge, is in serious condition. This was reported by a staff member of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in Dagestan.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Makhachkala, unidentified people planted to the house of Omar Omarov, Chairman of the Khasavyurt City Court, an explosive device. Earlier, it was reported that the house of the judge of shelled from a grenade launcher.
"The woman got shrapnel wounds to her head, and doctors had to amputate her leg. A 1-year-old grandson of the judge, who also suffered in the explosion, was slightly injured, and his life is out of danger," said the representative of the ICRF.
According to the ICRF, the criminal case was instituted on the fact of explosion under four Articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: "Attempt on murder of two and more persons", "Illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition", "Illegal manufacture of explosive devices and explosives", and "Deliberate destruction of other people's property". According to investigators, the explosion is connected with official activity of Omar Omarov. According to unconfirmed information, earlier, the judge had repeatedly received threats in connection with his official duties, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
At present, the Judge Omarov refused to comment; he is in hospital with his wife.
