In Astrakhan, police releases Ilya Yashin, activist of "Solidarnost", detained for fighting
Ilya Yashin, the activist of the opposition movement "Solidarnost" (Solidarity), was released from the police station in Astrakhan, where he was taken after taking part in a fight.
Ilya Yashin, who arrived in Astrakhan, spoke to the assembled city residents. He was detained by the police for a scuffle with a local resident, who, according to eyewitnesses, had provoked the conflict.
Blogger Alexei Navalny and Dmitry Gudkov, the Deputy of the Russian State Duma, went to get the opposition activist out of the police station, the "Rosbalt" reports.
According to Georgy Alburov, the coordinator of the project "Rosvybory", Ilya Yashin had just joined the protesters in Kirov Square.
