In Stavropol Territory, one person fell victim of armed conflict in the first quarter of 2012

In January, February and March 2012, in the Stavropol Territory, at least one person suffered from the continuing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus conflict has. These are the results of calculations, made by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.

In Pyatigorsk, on February 13, Kurman Ismailov, Deputy Mufti of the Stavropol Territory, perished at a car explosion. According to investigators, a bomb, stuffed with steel balls and attached under the driver's, blew up. The power of the explosive device was 300-400 grams of TNT (trotyl) equivalent. The investigation did not rule out that the murder could be committed from the extremist motives or out of revenge.

In 2011, the Stavropol Territory, according to calculations of the "Caucasian Knot" based on the data from its own correspondents and information from open sources, had 24 victims, including 17 killed and seven wounded persons. The losses of the armed underground, according to reports of law enforcement bodies, were 15 persons; from among law enforcers two persons were killed. The list of those wounded included six power agents.

In 2010, the region had 89 victims: 10 casualties and 79 wounded persons; among them - two casualties, referred by law enforcers to the members of the armed underground; three killed and 79 wounded civilians.

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow
