High water floods villages in six districts of Volgograd Region
In the Volgograd Region, high water flooded villages in six districts; in general, flood situation in the region is improving. This was reported by the Regional Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).
In the Ilovlya District, at the confluence of the Tishanka and the Don Rivers, near the farm yard of Baibaev, several houses and farmsteads were flooded. High water of the Ilovlya River in the working village of Ilovlya also flooded several houses and farmsteads and a section of the road of local importance. In the south-west, out of the village of Ilovlya, several summer cottage land plots and a section of the roadway to them were flooded.
In the Frolovo District, the Archeda River overflew its banks and caused damage to several houses and farmsteads in the farm yards of Amelino and Ternovka and to two sections of roads of local importance.
In the Mikhailovka District, the Medveditsa River near the village of Sebrovo flooded several houses and farmsteads. In the Olkhovka District, several farmsteads on the outskirts of the village of Olkhovka were flooded.
The Cossack village of Kumylzhenskaya of the Kumylzhenskaya District of the Volgograd Region counts losses from floods. For this purpose, a special commission, which should give an opinion on the amount of damage within two weeks, was established.
