Residents of Ingushetia demand from Medvedev, Putin and Evkurov to take control over inquiry into Abubakar Tsechoev's kidnapping

Relatives, neighbours, colleagues and acquaintances of the employee of the "Vodokanal" Abubakar Tsechoev, who was kidnapped on March 22 in Ingushetia by unidentified power agents, demand from the leaders of Russia and Ingushetia to admit a lawyer and a physician to him, as well as establish and punish all those involved in the incident.

The appeal addressed to the incumbent President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, the President-Elect Vladimir Putin and the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov by the Coordination Board of NGOs of Ingushetia on April 1 contains a demand to stop once and for all the practice of abductions and extrajudicial executions.

"Should the authorities fail to hear us, we'll undertake all possible non-violent actions, rallies and demonstrations. We don't want to tolerate the situation when we are periodically, one by one, kidnapped, tortured and killed," says the statement, signed by 125 people.
