Leaders of "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" come to Astrakhan to support hunger-strikers
Sergey Mironov, the leader of the political party "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia), and Nikolai Levichev, the chairman of the party, met the political hunger-strikers in Astrakhan.
The hunger strike of citizens, headed by the former candidate for the city Mayor Oleg Shein started on March 15 in protest against the outcomes of the municipal elections held on March 4. According to official data, the election of the Mayor was won by Mikhail Stolyarov, who was supported by 60 percent of the voters. However, the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" refuses to recognize the election outcomes.
Oleg Shein urged his supporters to come to a rally on the day of arrival of the leaders of the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" in Astrakhan.
The rally was held in the format of a meeting of city residents with the hunger-strikers and was attended by about 400 people. There were no incidents with the police.
