Aslan Cherkesov’s mother asks the human rights activists to help her find out his location
Aslan Cherkesov convicted for murder of Moscow football fan Yegor Sviridov was not found in colony No 17 of Krasnoyarsk region where he was convoyed from investigative isolation ward No 1 of Krasnoyarsk, his mother Sonya Cherkesova states.
In her appeal to Russian human rights activists, Non-governmental committee of monitoring the activities of Federal Penitentiary Service in Krasnoyarsk region and Ombudsman of the Russian Federation Vladimir Lukin Sonya Cherkesova asks to render aid in establishing her son’s location.
According to Sonya Cherkesova, after the sentencing procedure Aslan Cherkesov was convoyed to Krasnoyarsk region and kept in investigative isolation ward No 1 of Krasnoyarsk till March, 23, where on that day he had a meeting with his attorney Igor Kuznetsov.
On March, 26, the lawyer came to the investigative isolation ward again but Aslan Cherkesov was already not there. In reply to the lawyer’s question where his client might be and why he was not in his place, a representative of the administration said that the convict was being prepared for convoying to colony No 17 and “he is currently in the convoy vehicle”.
This morning lawyer Igor Kuznetsov went to colony No 17 the meet his client but he was told that Aslan Cherkesov had not been delivered there.
“So, as of the present moment, 11:30, I know nothing of my son’s location. I have reasons to fear for my son because violence had been repeatedly used against him before”, Sonya Cherkesova’s appeal posted on a blog of “Caucasian Policy” web-portal runs.
