Beslan Khagazheev: Syrian Circassians to receive 70 invitations to come to Kabardino-Balkaria
In 2012, the public organization to assist in the repatriation of compatriots and their settlement in the land of their ancestors "Peryt" sent 70 invitations to assist Syrian Circassians in obtaining year multiple business visas.
In January, the organization "Peryt" sent 20 invitations to Syrian Circassians. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Beslan Khagazheev, the member of the organization's board. "About 5 persons came to us with the help of that invitation. One of the guests stayed in Moscow, and one in Maikop," said Beslan Khagazheev. According to him, two weeks ago, the organization has sent more 50 invitations to arrange visas for a year.
Earlier, 12 persons from Syria 12 entered Kabardino-Balkaria with tourist visas. "They stayed at the Hotel "Nart". At present, three of them have to go back some to Jordan and some to Saudi Arabia to re-open their visas, since the duration of stay on tourist visas had expired. Other nine persons from Syria still stay in the KBR (Kabardino-Balkarian Republic). Another 45 persons have settled in the sanatorium "Druzhba", which is to become a centre for the adaptation of the Circassians from Syria," Beslan Khagazheev has added.
Some Circassians from Syria have settled with their relatives; therefore, the exact number of persons willing to relocate is unknown.
According to Rometa Tatarova, the lecturer of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, the curator of the Syrian Friendly Society, the majority of students from Syria face difficult financial situation.
