New commission is set up in Lermontov for repeated elections

On March 16, a decision was made at the sitting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Stavropol Territory to form a temporary city election commission in Lermontov. The new commission will organize the repeated elections to the City Council.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by a source from the above CEC that the decision was based on the city court ruling.

This commission will be temporary, that is, it will exist from the announcement of the election date until adoption of the financial report on the conducted elections. Candidates for the new ad hoc election commission of the city of Lermontov may be submitted to the office of the above CEC until March 25.

The existing Territorial Election Commission, headed by Natalia Yarmolich, dissolution of which was demanded by the hunger-striking candidates, will continue its work in parallel – it will deal with the elections of the federal and regional levels.
