Former employees of Turkish construction companies appeal for help to staff members of Chechen Office of Russian President

Builders of the Turkish companies "Penta" and "Bora Inshaat", which have large wage arrears, will appeal to the Office of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Grozny, where, on March 21, the meeting with residents of Chechnya on labour relations is to be held.

Consultations of the Chechen residents are conducted in accordance with the schedule approved by Alexander Khloponin, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD). The meeting will be chaired by Adam Elmurzaev, the head of the State Labour Inspectorate in the Chechen Republic.

Representatives of Turkish companies "Penta" and "Bora Inshaat" intend to visit the Office of the Russian President, if they are allowed to participate at the meeting. "We would like to once again define our problem: at present, 2000 employees of the former Turkish companies did not receive their wages. And no one is busy with solving this problem, after the heads of both companies have fled from Chechnya," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by one of the builders of the company "Bora Inshaat".

According to the source, his former colleagues are worried that they might be again subjected to pressure, and they do not attend protest action anymore. "We doubt that we will be allowed entering the Office of the President," the builder has concluded.
