About 20 persons picket representative office of Krasnodar Territory in Moscow
Several solo pickets were held in front of the representative office of the Krasnodar Territory in Moscow. As reported by Alexei Todorenko, the applicant of the action and the chairman of the NGO "For Krasnodar", in total 20 persons by replacing each other took part in the picket.
The main demands of the protesters were release of Suren Gazaryan, an activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus", and his lawyer Victor Dutlov, and non-admission of re-appointment of Alexander Tkachov as the Governor of the Territory.
"The Kuban Governor crossed the line, transgressed all he could and went for broke," Mr Todorenko told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent in his commenting on the detention of Messrs Gazaryan and Dutlov.
Sergey Mitrokhin, the leader of the "Yabloko" Party, also came to the representative office of the Krasnodar Territory. "It looks like no dialogue will take place with the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory," he said and added that the authorities of the Territory "are bound in a corruption knot that eats the resources allocated to the region."
In the course of the solo pickets, only a security and an unidentified young man came out of the office; the latter photographed the protesters and refused to make any comments.
