In Grozny, problems with electricity supply arise again
On March 14, part of the Chechen capital has been de-energized during the daylight hours. The power engineering services explain the incident by conducting of maintenance works; however, local residents are convinced that power cuts are focused.
"We have warned in advance the relevant services on power cuts," a representative of the Company "Nurenergo" told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"For unknown reason, people are firmly convinced that the power cuts are performed intentionally to save power, and that is absolutely not true," he has added.
Residents of the Staropromyslovsky District treat such statements as far-fetched explanations. "Yesterday in the morning, they switched off the light and promised to switch it on by 6:00 p.m. By this time, they really switched on electricity supply to some towns; however, we stayed without electricity until 7:00 p.m.," Salavdi T., a local resident, said.
"We are constantly required to pay for the light, and the authorities and the community services absolutely do not care about the fact that the electricity supply is switched off two or three times a week," said one of the resident of the village of Butenko in the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny.
