UN to allocate $1 million as help to refugees in Ingushetia

The United Nations will allocate $1 million to render humanitarian aid to displaced persons temporarily living on the territory of Ingushetia.

Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Jan Egeland announced it on January 27, while meeting with Ingush President Murat Zyazikov during a short visit to Ingushetia.

The Under-Secretary-General also promised the President of Ingushetia to consider in the near future the issue of providing help to displaced persons of Ingush nationality from the Prigorodny district of North Osetia.
