Organizers of march in capital of North Ossetia sentenced to 10 and 5 days in jail

The Soviet District Court of Vladikavkaz has convicted two detained participants of the unauthorized march in the capital of North Ossetia on December 30, 2011.

According to the sentence of the district court, Dzerassa Khugaeva, the organizer of the march (and a sister of Vladislav Khugaev, one of the arrested supporters of Alla Djioeva), will spend 10 days in jail.

Alan Lokhov, a European champion in freestyle wrestling, also accused of organizing the march, was sentenced to five days in jail. This was reported by the "Echo of the Caucasus" with reference to its own sources.

So far, no official comments on the verdict have been received. The opinions of Khugaeva and Lokhov are also unknown.
